“ Loved the portion sizes of the picanha. The caiparinhas are delicious. The cod fritters were a little too salty. I prefer the Portuguese chorico in a caldo Verde. The music is hilarious too. ”
“ Really good! I got the chicken and cheese pasteis but the portions for everything were really good and I liked the cheese pull. Good service too ”
“ We came and ordered Pao de Quiejo, yucca fries, chicken stroganoff, and Ropa Vieja. Everything was delicious. The pao was so fluffy and cheesy. Yucca fries were fried to perfection and the green sauce is so good. Both meals were also delicious. Would recommend them, however, the chicken stroganoff is slightly better :) The ambiance is very chill and relaxed and the staff is very friendly! ”
“ These days I'm rarely inspired to write a review, but let me just say, Rice X Beans did not fail to impress. We went with a group of 7 and found the staff to be kind, the price fixe menu items to be remarkably authentic and delicious. We had 5:00 reservations prior to a 7:00 show, and they made sure our dinner was paced with our timeline in mind. Our group shared apps and bites of entrees and dessert, and every single thing was phenomenal. I can't say enough about what a wonderful dining experience this was. ”
“ A small gem of a restaurant with good service. I ordered (no foodie here) the chicken milanesa which was easily the best I've had. My wife had cod cakes (Bolhinho de Bacalhau) which she totally enjoyed. An side of french fries were expertly prepared. ”
“ Came to this cute Brazilian with a twist of Caribbean flairs and unique handcrafted drinks in Midtown West A small cozy restaurant that probably seats 30 people and a couple of tables outside. We got there before 5 p.m. on a weekday, and it was empty. Their selection of music wasn't too loud, but it kind of sounded like live music. Their food was delicious, and portion-wise it was perfect. What we ordered - Caipirinha lime Brazillian rum - Per Armor: Lebron cachaca ginger beer, lime juice, and pear juice. - Carioca's beef stew: slow-cooked cubes with garlic, onions, sweet peppers, Tomatoes serve with rice and black beans. - 12 oz. grilled ribeye steak served with mushrooms, sundried tomatoes, and cheese risotto. Port wine reduction sauce on the steak. - Cuban Pulled Beef: Cuban-style pulled beef, with sweet plantains, rice, and beans. - Brazilian-style caramel custard - creamy coconut pudding served with caramel and prunes Everything was delicious except for the desserts. It didn't really impress us. The service was amazing especially our waiter. ”
“ Let's just keep this to ourselves, shall we? Caipirinhas - can you say that correctly? It's small. Its bar is lovely. The food is unbelievable. No I'm serious. The empanadas were amazing. The cod croquettes were delicious. Feijoada is the star of the show. We got the small portion and we brought some home. Make a reservation. If you are lucky enough to score a bar seat- even better. ”
“ Two of us dined at this restaurant on a Sunday evening. We were seated promptly at an outside table (per our request). The food was delicious, and portions were generous. I got the pear spritz as a cocktail. I wouldn't order it again. The service was a bit slow. It's a cute little restaurant. We did end up having to move our table to a different one because an employee from the restaurant beside it was stacking up bags of garbage right next to my seat. The server was happy to move us. Lots of takeout orders being picked up, so that might be the better choice but overall it was a good experience. ”
“ I remember eating at the earlier incarnation of this restaurant, at their humble 9th Avenue location, ages ago. The food was hearty and delicious back then. Now it still is, but the venue is a little nicer (though similarly small) and there seems to be a pretty good drink menu. Feijoada: After a very long 10-hour door-to-door travel day, this huge pot of home cooking revived me and gave me life. It's meant for two people and each person is given a plate with rice, collard greens, orange slice and yucca flour with bacon. A huge vat of black bean stew is shared between the two people, with a generous amount of meat inside. I noticed ribs, sausage, pork belly / bacon and stewed meat. Everything was just so delicious. I especially loved the smoky taste the yucca flour imparted upon the bean covered meat. After two ravenous grown men attacked this dish, there was still a little bit leftover. ”
